Ethnic breakfasts

No more eggs and bacon, putu pap or breakfast-from-a-box – eating ethnic food first thing in the morning is the way to go. Here's some otherworldy breakfast inspiration:

China:

Peanut and vegetable rice paper wraps

Stir fried asparagus and tofu on rice

Italy:

Biscotti with cuppuccino

Duetto dolce with thickly sliced ciabatta

 

Philippines:

Pork-noodles with crispy garlic and chilli

Rice noodles with chicken wings and braised shiitake mushrooms

Spain:

Spanish-style fritters or Spanish toast with rich hot chocolate


Costa Rica:

A plate of red beans and sticky papino

Banana and coconut loaf

Iran:

Flatbreads with sumac, feta cheese, honey and walnuts

Handmade flatbread with tomato, soft goats milk curd and preserved lemon


Turkey:

Make yourself a platter of egg, cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, honey and rye bread
