Woolworths launches The Big Cheese!
Woolworths has just launched an exciting new, deliciously creamy Cheddar cheese called The Big Cheese. It’s a super versatile, traditional Cheddar with a wonderful creamy taste and unique flavour (click on the image for a larger view). SERVING SUGGESTIONS: The Big Cheese is the perfect every-day Cheddar that can be used in any recipe calling for Cheddar cheese. And it’s just as good on its own - serve it at room temperature to savour and enjoy this classic Cheddar’s great taste at its absolute best. Its bold flavour (though it’s not too mature) makes The Big Cheese an excellent choice for rolls and sandwiches. Try it on freshly-baked as bread, Woolworths’ heat-&-eat rolls, a French baguette or your favourite whole-wheat loaf. Layer with sliced ham, tomatoes, tangy mayonnaise and/or onion marmalade. Whip up this super-simple dinner for four with a trio of fresh ingredients, all less 10% for Woolies cardholders. CHUNKY ASIAN TOMATO AND PEPPER RELISH WITH BEEF STRIPS What you will need: - Mixed peppers
- Slicing tomatoes
- Free-range wok beef strips
Method: Place 2 T olive oil in a saucepan over a medium to low heat with 2 freshly chopped red chillies, 3 cloves garlic and 1 x 5 cm piece of ginger, peeled and grated. Fry for 1–2 minues, or until fragrant. Chop four mixed peppers and place in the pan. Add 2 chopped slicing tomatoes and 2 T soya sauce. Fry for 15–20 minutes, adding more soya sauce if necessary. Pan-fry 500 g beef strips in 1 T olive oil for 3– 4 minutes, or until golden but still juicy. Serve on a bed of fresh leaves and sliced red onion, with the chunky tomato and pepper relish on the side. Season to taste. Fruity finish with Woolworths
