QUICK SPICY MEATBALLS IN TOMATO SAUCE

How to:

Make crispy onion rings

Make a batter by whisking together a cup of flour, a cup of buttermilk and 1 egg. Mix in two tablespoons of parsley and season.

Heat oil in a deep pan. Dip each onion ring into the batter and fry until crispy and golden brown.Drain on absorbent paper.

Serve with wasabi mayo, made with a little wasabi paste mixed into good quality mayonnaise.

Ingredients:
500 g lean beef mince
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 t medium curry powder
2 t cumin
1/2 t paprika
3 T fresh coriander, chopped
1 egg, beaten
50 g fresh bread crumbs
1 T olive oil
Woolworths Mediterranean Tomato Cook-In Sauce
Cooking instructions:

Heat oven to 180°C.  Place the mince, onions, garlic, curry powder, cumin,  paprika  and coriander into a mixing bowl and mix well.

Add the beaten egg and breadcrumbs, then mix again.  

Divide the meat mixture into small balls.  Fry the meatballs in the olive oil in a frying pan over a medium heat.

Cook for 5 mins, turning until golden brown.  Place onto a oven tray, add Woolworths Mediterranean Tomato Cook-in Sauce and bake for 15 – 20 minutes until cooked through. 
 
Toss through cooked pasta.
