How to:

Make pink noodles

Add ½ a peeled beetroot to boiling water then soak the noodles in the water for 10 minutes. Children will love them, and they're great for parties. For a quick idea to use them, strain and drizzle with rice vinegar, honey and a little sesame oil, then sprinkle with black sesame seeds.

Ingredients:
400 g ready-to-eat Oriental noodles
2 smoked chicken fillets, shredded
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
Squeeze of lime juice
2 cups ready shredded cabbage and carrot for coleslaw
Shreds of cucumber and spring onion for garnishing
Cooking instructions:

Mix noodles with chicken, rice vinegar, oil and lime juice. Turn onto cabbage and carrot. Check seasoning. Top with cucumber and spring onion.
