Ready-made meals put together in minutes

If you're not in the mood to cook, these meals can quickly and easily be put together using some ready-made foods from Woolworths.

VEGETARIAN MENU

• Put together a plate of marinated artichokes, mixed olives, slow roast Rosa tomatoes, with hummus on thick slices of ciabatta with fresh basil and black pepper

• Marinate shavings of baby marrow and asparagus in olive oil, red wine vinegar, crushed garlic and lots of lemon juice to taste. Toss with chopped parsley, crumbled feta and a sprinkle of dried chilli.

Or make ahead marinated baby marrow summer salad with salsa verde croutons

• Frozen berry and vodka punch – add frozen berries to tall glasses, top up with cranberry juice and a little mint and vodka.

Or make ahead passion fruit and vodka sparkle

Falafels on skewers with tzatzki and roasted red pepper hummus to dip.

Or make ahead chickpea falafel with roast chilli vinaigrette

FOOD FOR FRIENDS

BBQ chicken winglets and drumlets with a sour cream dip.

Or make ahead Chicken wings with spring onion and chive yoghurt dip

• Sliced French baguette with chicken liver paté, caramelised onion and sliced gherkins.

Or make ahead rotisserie chicken and sliced coppa baguette

• Chorizo slices tossed with torn mozzarella, torn basil and slices of tomato drizzled with chilli oil.

Or make ahead fragrant fried chorizo with spinach and marinated artichokes

• Triple chocolate mousse cake - simply take out of the freezer an hour or two before serving

SUPPER FOR FOUR

• Salmon and avocado terrine with melba toasts and fennel shavings.

Or make ahead smoked trout terrine with shallot dressing

• Cooked prawns with lemon juice mixed into mayonnaise served in melon quarters with fresh rocket and black pepper.

Or make ahead Prawn cocktail and cream cheese wrapped in rainbow trout and topped with fresh fennel

• Parma ham and sliced gorgonzola with watercress

• Raspberry and mascarpone meringue roulade – simply take out of the freezer an hour or two before serving.

• TexMex-layered dip with nachos and guacamole.

• Mango atchar, chicken or beef frikadels, with plain yoghurt and naan bread
