A day-time eatery run by partners Claudia Morgado, Adrian Ferreira and Eric Wright, Post is a welcome new addition to Jo’burg’s inner city life in trendy Braamfontein.

Simple, sturdy materials – timber, steel, and glass – reference the urban location and its industrial heritage. The food is fresh, locally sourced and prepared on the spot.

Try the clean-flavoured Brie, rocket and Parma ham toasted rye sandwich, or the decadent buttermilk flapjacks with bacon, Greek yoghurt, halva, honey and cherries.

Tailored to city folk needing good food on the dash, the menu also offers delectable pick-up-and-go sandwiches, salads and “the finest coffee north of the railway tracks,” according to Eric.

An ideal hideaway for the commuter classes, the restaurant also offers Wi-fi. 

Open from 6.30 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 2 pm on Saturday and the first Sunday
