Serving a variety of healthy to warm and filling meals, Cafe Delicieux is the ultimate stop-off for quick and tasty food.
Tucked in an otherwise uninviting corner of Welgemoed’s Forum shopping centre, Café Delicieux is a sumptuously pretty stop-off for breakfasts, lunches and high teas.
Interiors and food magician (and regular TASTE contributor), Jacques Erasmus, waved his wand over the cosy space and its menu, consulting with owner Serita Landman to create the ultimate fusion of home-style comfort and gal-spoil chic.
Dose up with a healthful squeeze of fresh apple, pear and ginger juice or savour a tea infusion of forest berries or gunpowder tea with mint.
Lunchtime treats include everything from a sticky-sweet slow-roasted Moroccan lamb with honey, green fig and pistachio couscous to a host of delicious salads and daily specials, such as a sweet potato and vodka soup, or creamy mushroom and fillet penne.
A master baker, Serita serves a mean cheesecake and a variety of other equally tempting bakes, and now opens for an à la carte dinner on Friday nights too.
Open from 7.15 am to 6 pm, Monday to Thursday; 7.15 am to 10 pm on Friday; 8.30 am to 3.30 pm on Saturday and 9 am to 2.30 pm on Sunday.
