Cookery courses for boys and gals
Cookery courses for boys and gals

We've scoured the country and found three enterprising chefs who love cooking so much, they're quite happy to teach  you.

Pete Goffe-Wood of Kitchen Cowboys

Dynamic chef, Pete Goffe-Wood (pictured above), who runs the Kitchen Cowboys courses in Cape Town, has started these cookery courses in Jo’burg. The essence of the course is to "get guys back into the kitchen" and "turn the kitchen into the workshop". They’re for anyone who loves to braai but would really like to have fun in the kitchen too.

Chef Bruce Robertson

Afro-gastronaut Bruce Robertson can organise just about anything for you, so long as it’s about food. He’ll plan an interactive gourmet weekend for friends or what he calls "radical dining"– a new concept where he can take food to any location in the country and cook with you. And, as he says, "Nothing is cast in stone. We tailor-make the gourmet adventure to suit your palette."

Rinette Enslin of Olive Chef School

Set on Woodlands Game Farm just outside Bloemfontein, Rinette Enslin’s Olive Chef School offers an advanced diploma in classical culinary cooking in addition to private cooking classes for groups of between eight and 24 people. She even includes children above the age of 12 – ideal for birthdays or special occasions.
