What inspired you to enter a mutton curry soup recipe?
Living in Durban, it’s hard to turn down a good mutton curry, so I thought it would make a great winter soup...
What did you do to celebrate when you heard you'd won?
I got a mutton bunny from a new little spot in town!
What are you going to buy with the Woolies gift card?
I still have to decide about that.
What is your favourite ingredient?
Anything fresh and in season.
What is your favourite food?
My Mom’s lemon meringue pie. Yum...
And your favourite restaurant?
Definitely Craft Trattoria in Durban North
Do you have a favourite kitchen gadget?
It's not really a gadget, but I love my bamboo fork/spoon thingie.
If you had to pick one chef to make you dinner, who would it be out of Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson and why?
Definitely Gordon Ramsay, for the entertainment value.
If you hosted a dinner party and could invite any five guests, who would you invite and what would you make?
My husband Craig, Madiba & Graça Machel, Vivienne Westwood and DJ Fresh.
I’d make a simple risotto with crispy grilled lamb chops; a rocket, pear, pecan & blue cheese salad; followed by a vanilla custard and a sticky malva pudding.

I am married to an amazing husband and we have a gorgeous baby girl.
What do you do for a living?
I'm Art Director and Stylist for Modern Museum Communications.
How would you describe your perfect Sunday?
It would be a hot summer's day on the beach with the family and our dogs, followed by a lazy lunch, a glass of white wine and the company of good friends.
What are your passions?
I love making things, sewing, DIY and cooking.
